In December 2022, at the celebration of Huayou Cobalt's 20th anniversary, Chairman Chen Xuehua unveiled and donated CNY 50 million to establish the Huayou Common Prosperity Charity Fund. The fund will be used for strengthening enterprises and revitalizing villages as well as continuing education and science popularization activities. It also set a new record in Tongxiang history for one-time charitable donations. In terms of education assistance in 2023, relying on the common prosperity fund, it distributed Huayou Dream Scholarships worth CNY 560,000 to 51 high school students from Tongxiang who were admitted by top nine universities across China. It also distributed "Huayou Chongxue Awards" worth CNY 382,600 to 408 primary and secondary school students in the development zone (Gaohua Street).

Huayou, as a president unit of the city's Charity Federation, has always regarded education and teaching assistance as an important part of its social responsibility to contribute to the development of national science and technology education industry and cultivate talents for our motherland. For more than ten years, it has continued to participate in Tongxiang Autumn Education Assistance Charity Activities. In 2024, Huayou will continue to rely on common prosperity funds, adding another CNY 10 million on basis of last year’s CNY 15 million, to further promote public welfare education and build youth science popularization venues. This year, “Huayou Dream” Scholarship awarded prizes totaling CNY 650,000 to 53 students from Tongxiang who were admitted by prestigious universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, etc., with each student receiving up to CNY 50,000 if they were admitted by Tsinghua or Peking University. Additionally, this year, there are 428 students who have received the "Huayou Chongxue Award", including many outstanding students from Tongxiang High School. Furthermore, 27 students with good academic performance but difficult family conditions have also received motivational awards worth CNY 3,000 per person, totalling CNY 381,800 in prize money distributed.

It is worth mentioning that the Huayou New Energy Science and Technology Museum Project, which invested CNY 4.5 million, will be completed in this year at the training education base of Tongxiang Youth. After its completion, it will become a base for local and foreign teenagers to visit and learn about new energy science and technology knowledge.
